My Approach

Most of Us Need Some Help Figuring Things Out.

You may have come to counseling looking for emotional support, personal growth, or, more broadly, simply a better life (all serious concerns). That said, keeping a light approach to our mutual hour leads to far better, more immediate, and more sustainable results.

After all, the end goal of our time together is to help you create a life filled with more joy, ease, personal freedom, connection, and love.

To best accomplish this, we’ll want to start inviting in the very same energies we’re ultimately looking to master.

My goal is that our hour together will be uplifting, no matter how severe or painful the issues we are addressing may be.

You don’t need someone climbing down into the pit with you, but someone metaphorically standing in the bright sunlight, high on a hill, saying, “Hey, check this out.”

Throughout our work, I hope you look forward to our sessions together – being seen, recognized, and celebrated.

You’ll experiment with your experience, let the horses run, so to speak, and practice more and more fully being you.

The authentic you, not some idea of who you’ve always thought you should be. But who you truly are, unencumbered by self-doubt or societal concerns.

The exhilaration that comes from this is an extraordinary experience; it is what this work, at its best, can offer.

About Geoffrey

Me… I was born on the verge of a nervous breakdown — literally.

From birth, I was taught that the world was a frightening, inhospitable place, and by the time I was twenty-one, I suffered a psychotic break — my “reality” had become so unbearable that I split off from it.

I had no choice but to surrender my ego, deconstruct my conditioning, and rebuild myself from scratch.

To accomplish this, I worked with some remarkable therapists and mentors, and I bring their wisdom to my work every day.

Chief among them was my mentor, Tracey Woodward. Tracey called himself a Consulting Analyst, and when I first hung out my own shingle, I took on the same title in his honor. Today my work adds a profoundly important spiritual component, but the foundation is his: we are not our thoughts, and real freedom comes from letting them go and living experientially.

Bottom line, I want you to know that I’m deeply familiar with the evolutionary road ahead and the wonders that await you.

For over 30 years, I’ve had the great honor of helping hundreds of intelligent, curious people find success, joy, and love by letting go of their conditioning and discovering who they were.

If you’re willing to call or email me, I’d like to help you, too.
